Bikers are a funny breed. I am fortunate enough to live with one and consider myself as well versed in the MTB world, as a non biker can be. I’ve always been struck by the seeming contradiction between the extreme nature of the sport and the meticulous care and spotless maintenance of the bike/toy itself. With that tension in mind, I wanted to ensure that the name + branding of Dash* reflected the sexy part of biking – its speed and thrill – rather than the more conservative nature of “protection.” The stencil-like logo, energizing colors and dynamic shapes are all meant to grab the attention of a thrill-seeker and get them in the mood to go wild (and feel safe about it).
Oh and did I mention they’ll soon be fitting bikes with glitter vinyl wrap? Sign. me. up.
